During a campaign appearance Nov. 1 at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, Romney used these examples to call attention to his support for a federal constitutional amendment “to limit marriage to the relationship between one man and one woman.” (more)

The questioner, performer Melissa Etheridge, quickly tried to rescue Richardson, asking if he understood the question. "Well, I'm not a scientist," he said. Fostering the Truth about Lesbian and Gay Adoption

When big-money conservative advocacy meets high-speed journalism, the truth is sometimes unwittingly sacrificed.  In an article from The Economist, the annual operating budget of Focus on the Family was recently estimated as $150 million.  Well-funded right-wing groups deceive the media on a regular basis with their authoritative pronouncements and scientific-sounding names like “Family Research Council” and “Family Research Institute.” (more)
