Teaching and Learning Institute (TLI)
Mission: To facilitate student academic success, we strive for excellence in teaching and learning at Alliant through faculty development and support, with a strong focus on technology infusion. The Teaching and Learning Institute (TLI) provides services to Alliant faculty through the following programs and initiatives. - TLI Faculty Development Workshop Series on best practices in teaching and learning, based upon faculty wants and needs.
- TLI Funded Research Program, which awards small stipends annually to faculty and students to encourage faculty/student partnership in research projects.
- TLI iClassroom Initiative, designed to infuse more information and instructional technologies into the classrooms. A more student-centered, collaborative learning approach is emphasized.
We work closely with the Academic Success Center (ASC) under the Center for Undergraduate Education. In addition, many Alliant faculty members (and staff) support and collaborate with us in our programs and initiatives.
